Time to return to the studio, don't you think?

I'm thrilled to be writing to you again, especially with news that I have been back in the studio at last, glazing and firing a group of miniature sculptures which I'll be selling at the Spicewood Arts RoundUp, October 18 and 19.
These pieces are intimate in nature, minimalist impressions of birds and stauesque plants, sculpted in soft stoneware and glazed in rich bronze and jade tones.  I'm very pleased with these jewels.
I missed the birds as much as I missed the trees when I moved to Austin after the fire.  In my new home, I follow the meanderings of turkeys, roadrunners, titmice and wrens.  I wake to birdsong and catch the morning light breaking behind the mockingbird's profile and know that I am home again.
I have a new phone number, so please make note: 512/693-7687 that spells 512 693-POTS.
And a note of thanks to the sky above for today's major soaking rains.  Fall begins tomorrow and I am so glad.  See you at the roundup! and YES, there will also [...]

If you were here last year to hear this trio, I'm sure you'll be back for more!  They were really great.
Sarah Fox has a powerful, beautiful voice and her songwriting will bring tears to your eyes.  So lovely.
Joel Guzman is an animated miracle of sound on the squeezebox and he played a little on the baby grand last year as well.
And if you don't know Andrew Hardin's name, you will recognize him and his stellar guitar work, blending and highlighting with this great trio.
Come early to claim your seat, then enjoy the Potluck Appetizers and BYOB drinks.  Wander the cliffside and enjoy the porch with friends, old and new.
Reserved Seats / Call or email me for tickets.  susie@shadetreepotter.com  Hope to see you in the crowd.

I could look it up, but I think this is the 9th year for the Art and Wine Trail.  It's the time I see old friends and collectors from Austin, driving out for a lovely fall day in the hill country to do their early Art Gift buying and sample the new wines of the season at Spicewood and Stone House Vineyards.
I'm showing the Edwards Plateau Flora, Fauna and Fossils Series which was on view this summer at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center.  And I've done the first kiln load of holiday gifts and will have another round coming in mid December.  There are over 100 pieces in the gallery this season.  Come enjoy the Fall Harvest of pieces.  Bring a couple of  friends and introduce them to my work and porch here on the cliff.  Hope to see you on the Trail.
